This is Barry and Julie-Anne's wedding album, a lovely Irish couple from Cork who got married in Granada last November. Julie speaks Spanish perfectly because she studied Spanish at university and because she has taken some courses here in Granada. Hence her knowledge and love for our city.
They prepared a wedding Granada style, so that their guests could enjoy the Nasrid essence. They stayed at the Alhambra Palace Hotel located within the Alhambra enclousure, next to the "Alcázares Nazaríes" (palace) and the "Torres Bermejas" (towers) in a suite with a view to the city.
They got married at the church of "Santa Maria de la Alhambra", a five-minute walk from the hotel, next to the palace of the Emperor Charles V and the Partal Gardens. I took a group photograph after the ceremony with the church as the background, and after taking some pictures inside the palace of Charles V, I took the main photographs inside the Alhambra (Palacios Nazaries and the Partal Gardens).
The guests had some cocktail drinks at the "Carmen de San Miguel" (next to Torres Bermejas) and were joined by the newlyweds to enjoy the company
and the speeches of family and friends.
During the evening, even though we did not attend, they enjoyed their celebrations with a meal at the hotel. Overall, it was a complete day with Granada and its Nasrid culture in the background. We are extremely grateful to this couple who gave us all their trust from the very beginning. I got introduced to Barry and Julie-Anne by Maria Angeles from Alhambra Weddings, an agency that organises events and weddings in Granada. I am very grateful to her and the groom and the bride for choosing us as the wedding photographers.
